Get to Know Me

Dr. Sheena Sachdev has a Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. She has also A Masters in Applied Psychology from New York University.  Her clinical training includes individual, couples, and group counseling at The Chicago School of Psychology Clinic; individuals and groups at Tarzana Treatment Center, and family/couples, and individual therapy at The Children’s Center. Her internship provided individuals with disabilities group and individual therapy.  Her post-doctoral work includes working with college students individually and in groups at Pierce College. 

 

Dr. Sachdev is an advocate of group therapy and has initiated several groups at each site she has worked with including: a yoga/meditation group, a mindfulness group, a creativity group, and existential depression and anxiety groups.

 

Dr. Sachdev’s clinical experience is focused on existentialism, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and humanistic psychology. She specializes in Depression, Anxiety, and Relationships. Her style of therapy is genuine and informal.  Her phenomenological approach ensures that each individual has a spotlight on their subjective human experience and perspective..

 

Dr. Sachdev is conveniently located for East Los Angeles residents in Atwater Village, close to Silverlake, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Los Feliz, and Downtown LA.
